We’re all working hard these days and saving as much money as we possibly can.
Our expendable cash has become less expendable and taking time out for what we deem as unnecessary expenditures has been almost completely cut out. Staycations and the in-home family restaurant seem to be the trend as the economy has become less friendly.
While eating at home is probably healthier for us and a better choice than grabbing a burger or pizza on the way home every night, some statistics are not quite as favorable when it comes to cutting out vacations. Just one example is a study that found people who did not take advantage of vacating had higher occurrences of heart disease. Its great because you already know most of your expenses up front and there are few surprises on the back end. Remember that you get what you pay for, so it is wise to do some research on reputations of companies before you book your vacation with one, but once that’s been done, you should have fairly smooth sailing through the rest of the planning and booking process.
